The equipment: Pride Mobility Victory 10 LX

We rent one scooter because it is the right one for this destination. The Pride Mobility Victory 10 LX is a full size four wheel travel scooter, and it is built for exactly the conditions Los Cabos throws at it.

Top speed up to 8 MPH. Fast enough to keep pace with the group instead of trailing behind them.
Up to 13 miles of range per charge. That covers a full day at a resort, a morning at the marina and an afternoon out, with margin left over.
400 lb weight capacity. A genuinely sturdy frame, not a lightweight folding toy.
CTS suspension. This is the part that matters here. Los Cabos has broken sidewalk, sloped driveways, brick pavers and cobblestone. Suspension is the difference between a pleasant ride and a rattled spine.
Fits in hotel elevators. We have delivered into most of the properties in this region and we know which elevators are tight. It fits.
Full lighting package and a comfortable captain’s seat with armrests that swing back for easier transfers.

We also rent manual wheelchairs, rollator walkers and knee walkers. If you are travelling with more than one person who needs support, we can deliver several pieces at once, on one visit.

Delivery across Los Cabos

Los Cabos is not one town. It is two towns about twenty miles apart with a strip of resorts in between, and that geography changes what you need.

Cabo San Lucas. The marina and downtown. Flat, busy, walkable in patches. We deliver to the hotels around the marina, along Médano Beach and up into Pedregal.

San José del Cabo. Quieter, older, more Mexican. The historic centre is cobblestone. The hotel zone along the beach is flat and modern. We deliver to both.

The Tourist Corridor. The 20 mile stretch of Highway 1 between the two towns. Palmilla, Chileno Bay, Cabo del Sol, Querencia, Costa Azul. These resorts are beautiful and they are isolated. There is nothing within walking distance of most of them. A scooter here is not for sightseeing, it is for crossing your own resort without exhausting yourself.

Pedregal. The hillside neighbourhood above Cabo San Lucas. Steep. The Victory 10 LX climbs it, but it uses battery faster on grades, so charge overnight, every night.

The Marina. The marina promenade is flat, paved and continuous for roughly a mile and a half, and it is the best riding surface in Los Cabos. Restaurants, shops and the sportfishing docks all sit on it. We deliver free to the marina hotels and vacation rentals along it.

The airport (SJD). We do not deliver to the airport curb, because airport arrivals are unpredictable and we would rather you were not waiting. We deliver to your hotel so the scooter is in your room, charged, when you arrive.

How pricing works

We do not publish a single flat price, because a single flat price would be wrong for most people.

Two things set your rate.

1. Which equipment you need. A Victory 10 LX scooter, a manual wheelchair, a rollator and a knee walker are four different pieces of equipment at four different rates.

2. How long you need it. Rates step down the longer you keep it. A day rate is one number. A week works out lower per day. A month lower again.

Here is the part that matters more than the number.

Common worries, answered plainly

“What if it does not fit through my hotel room door?” Tell us the property when you call. We have delivered into most resorts in Los Cabos and we know the tight ones. If a room is genuinely too narrow we will tell you before you book and suggest a rollator or a wheelchair instead.

“What if it breaks?” Call us. We swap it. No charge, no argument, no paperwork. We hold spare units for this reason.

“I have never driven one. Is it hard?” No. It is a thumb throttle and a speed dial. Most people are comfortable inside ten minutes. We stay with you until you are.

“Can I take it on the beach?” Onto packed sand near the water line at low tide, carefully, yes. Into soft dry sand, no. No four wheel scooter handles soft sand. If beach access is your main goal, tell us and we will talk you through which stretches are firm.

“Can I take it in a taxi or a shuttle?” The scooter disassembles into pieces for transport, and the heaviest piece is the battery pack. It fits in a large SUV. It does not fit in a standard Cabo taxi. If you are moving between towns often, tell us and we will plan around it.

Local knowledge worth having

Sidewalks are inconsistent. Downtown Cabo San Lucas has stretches of good flat pavement and then a curb with no cut, right where you need one. Locals ride in the road here. It is normal and drivers expect it, but ride with the traffic, not against it, and stay visible.

The Corridor is a driving destination. If your resort is between the two towns, plan on transport for anything off property. Scooter range is 13 miles, and the towns are 20 miles apart. Do not try to ride the highway. There is no shoulder worth the risk.

Charge every night. Heat and hills both eat battery. Plug it in when you get back to the room and you will never think about it again.

November to April is dry and pleasant. July to October is hot and humid, with rain. In summer, plan outings for morning and evening, and keep the scooter shaded when parked. Vinyl seats get very hot in direct sun.

Restaurant access varies. The marina boardwalk restaurants in Cabo San Lucas are almost all step free. The older places in San José’s historic centre often have a single step at the door. Call ahead, or ask us and we will tell you what we have seen.

Yes. The Victory 10 LX is sized to fit standard hotel elevators, and we have delivered into most Los Cabos properties. Tell us your resort when you call and we will confirm from experience.

How far can I go on one charge?

Up to 13 miles. That is comfortably a full day around a resort or the Cabo San Lucas marina area. Hills and heat reduce it, so charge overnight. Do not plan to ride between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. They are about 20 miles apart.
